OR - Just get him one of those “Invisible fence” dog collars and turn it on so that if he comes within 2 feet he gets a reminder shock.

Marc must be the long lost brother to my husband.
We just built a house in what we like to call “Sub Hell” or “Yuppyville Revisited”. It’s hard being a white trash mom in these surroundings. They don’t get your “if I could sell my kids on ebay, I’d make a fortune!” humor. Pity, really…

In my own defense (in case someone from MO DFS is reading this), I would have used a reasonable voltage… No higher than I would for the dog.
