Lunchtime lovin’
My hubby, most of the time, works from his home office — the one that’s in our basement.
But do you know what’s the BEST part of having a hubby work from home when you’re doing the “stay-at-home mom thing”?
Nooners.
That and the fact that if you feel like death warmed over, your hubby can take a quit break to either bring the child to preschool or pick him up. And he can also pick up some lunch while he’s out.
But clearly, the nooners win. Hands down. (No pun intended.)

you lucky whore.

Too funny! And soooo lucky. Such a thing doesn’t exist here–we can’t get home at lunch.

Yes, and you know what is even better? The earlier you *a’hem* with your hubby, the sooner he’ll do WHATEVER you want - with a smile on his face!

I am jealous! I wish we could pull that off, but we both work away form home.

ahhh…memories.
my hubby worked from home until just a couple of weeks ago.
don’t think we didn’t go there a few times, but now that he’s out of the house, i think maybe we didn’t get to it often enough.
enjoy!

Ah, the lovely nooner. One has much more energy midday.

And looking at the time of this post, I just wonder what the inspiration for it was?!? =) Sounds like a happy, happy girl! =)

Nooners certainly do rock. Adam works close to home and I work at home on Tuesdays and Thursdays, so I so know what you mean here!

Nooners are wonderful! I’m jealous right now. I work from my home office so when my man comes home from work I’ve had my share of surprises waiting.

Wow, I am in the minority here! I would prefer a quick 20 minute nap while he watched the kiddo to a nooner any day! Although there is something to be said for Carrie’s comment! Heehee.

Ohhh so very jealous here. Hubby is a teacher and has no time at all during lunch and during the summer the kids are always around wanting to know why our door is shut and locked. Maybe someday!

Ah, nooners. Ah, working from home. I don’t know which one inspires more jealousy…

My hubby works from home too… and yes, today was a nooner day too.

Jealosy abounds here.

My husband and I work for the same company and live six blocks away from home. At least once a month we make sure to allow a little extra time at lunch for a quickie. We always go back to work with naughty little smiles on our faces. I agree… it’s heavenly!
HollowSquirrel on 07 Nov 2006 at 8:42 pm #
Dude. Am I the only one who hasn’t had sex in weeks because I’m tooo tired?
Sarah on 08 Nov 2006 at 2:19 am #
Why does Blogger keep deleting my comments?!
Anyway, that sounds like a very convincing argument for home offices. I might have to try to convince Donald to consider one when we have kids.
Izzy on 08 Nov 2006 at 3:19 am #
Lucky you! How long have you been married that you’re still having nooners?
Soooo jealous!
Jenny on 08 Nov 2006 at 11:09 am #
Nooners are pretty much the only time me and my husband get down. But i miss my nights.
Rude Cactus on 08 Nov 2006 at 5:23 pm #
Now it just feels so lame and sucky to be working out of my office today.
Jenn on 08 Nov 2006 at 6:57 pm #
luckyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

Nooners? Nooners? Good lord, I didnt realise the basement was that well soundproofed… Who are you having all these nooners with?
MrsFortune on 09 Nov 2006 at 2:50 am #
Skyrockets in flight … ah-ah-ah-afternoon delight! That’s soooo cool. My husband might be starting to work at home soon … I’ll remind him of this potential and it can only hasten the transition.
Pattie on 09 Nov 2006 at 1:32 pm #
HA! And just think, with your little one in preschool, you don’t even have to lock the door! Oh wait…you don’t have a lock..

kfk on 11 Nov 2006 at 1:25 am #
I think that would be the one thing I would HATE about my husband working from home. The nooners would turn into one o’cockers, two o’cockers, three o’cockers…..etc, etc.
Anonymous on 16 Nov 2006 at 6:09 am #
I’ve never experienced a nooner.
Virginia Belle on 22 Nov 2006 at 1:31 am #
LOL! I loved this post.
when my dad retired, it was exactly the opposite. my mom used to think up errands he could run so he would get out of the house and stop being underfoot.
