Thinking…

I need a t-shirt that says ā€œI’m not homeless. And I don’t have a drug problem. I just look this way because I have a MONSTER migraine.ā€

Better yet, I need three. Just in case I get a monster migraine and the two other shirts are dirty.

Maybe that will alleviate some of the strange looks I get when I drop off/pick up my son at his preschool program. Its sad a day when the thought of getting struck by a garbage truck feels like a much more pleasant option.

You poor thing. I wish they would find you a cure already!

Aaah honey… hang in there. I sure wish they could fix this problem for you.

Can I bring you a big ole cake or something? I know how you love sweets. I hope u feel better.

  4. Cagey on January 18th, 2007 9:30 pm

Perhaps, you need another one that says “This is my version of Courtney Love”

Hang in there! I’ve been having loads of pregnancy-hormone induced headaches, but none of entered Migraine Country yet, THANK GOD. I feel for you.

SUCH misery..and I’m sure those T-shirts would be the perfect remedy. :-)

  6. carrie on January 18th, 2007 11:32 pm

Yeah, I would need a couple too — why just the other day, I was hovering over the porcelain throne making deals with whoever was listening so that the damn headache would finally leave me alone….there aren’t enough drugs in the world for us!

I am so sorry your head hurts.

You could make a bundle selling those shirts though, seriously!

I’ve never had a migraine but I’ve seen people brought to their knees by them. I’m sure if I felt that bad, my personal grooming would probably be the first thing to be compromised. Hope you’re feeling better :)

how ’bout just an imitrex shot… although slightly suspicious in shot form, the tablets are miracle workers when nothing else will stop the shards of pain assaulting your head.

i know it sounds kinda quacky, but have you tried a chiropractor? i gave myself shots for years before trying it and it (embarrassing to admit) actually ended the frequency at which i suffered the tunnel vision and migraines…

i’m feeling for you, sending some pain free love your way.

Get better, get better, get better, get better get better get better getbetter getbetter getbetter getbettergetbettergetbettergetbettergetbettergetbettergetbetter…

Sending get better vibes your way. I hope you feel top of the world soon. Or I hope you get some good druge to knock out the pain.

Oh honey, I’m thinking of you all the time. Daniel gets those and they are torture. I wish I could take away yours too.

  11. Virginia Belle on January 19th, 2007 5:39 pm

oh, my sympathies! i get them too. they need to do a study that illustrates the connection between suicides and migraines. because seriously, when i get them, i’m like, “please just put me out of my misery!!!”

    hope you’re feeling better

Thanks for stopping by today! I live in Ohio now which is where I was born. I lived in Alton, Il for a few months while we looked for a house. Then, we lived in St. Louis for a while and when the people we rented from quit paying the payments on the house, we moved to St. Charles. My Dad passed awys when I was 12 and we moved back to Ohio to be closer to family.
I get migranes, too. Wicked, aren’t they? I could use a shirt like that, too!

I had a migraine the day of my daughter’s First Holy Communion. You don’t even want to picture how bad I looked. Or how close we were to being late. Or the dress that I wore. Or the fact that I went to church with wet hair. Migrains suck. Sorry you are not living the dream today.

    Feel better.

Then get yourself one of those CafePress stores and sell those shirts. I bet you’d make a fortune. I’d buy one, or maybe even three.

    Now, feel better.

AWWW…I hope you feel better soon! I know how you feel about preschool. Alex’s was like that. A lot of the moms were WAY over judgmental. I just stuck my tongue out at ‘em. Okay, not really. But I WISH I’d stuck my tongue out at ‘em ;-)

  16. Angela on January 19th, 2007 10:58 pm

Yuck, those are the worst. Get better soon!

  17. Pattie on January 19th, 2007 11:49 pm

I think whoever figures out a cure or at least a hugely successful treatment for migraines will be one rich person.
I hope it gets better soon!

  18. Oh, The Joys on January 20th, 2007 2:06 am

I’ve only had one and it was AWFUL.

Coffee. Coffee. And more coffee. I’ve heard it helps but don’t know for sure. I always look evil and disheveled when at either of my sons’ schools. Just caught up in the drop off/pick up rush with my 2-year-old daughter in tow. Traveling with kids is a bitch sometimes. The whole ordeal practically gives moms migraines. Hope you feel better soon.

UGh. At least you made it out in public at all. My hat’s off to you on that one. Feel better!!

    Ohhh you poor,poor, woman…
I have total empathy… and when they hit… it is all I can take not to lie in the feotal position in a dark dark room and rock myself and pray that it will pass…

  22. MSUgal86 on January 20th, 2007 9:10 pm

I get them too and they make me look mean.

    Feel Better!

  23. mamatulip on January 21st, 2007 4:39 am

I get them too and all I can do is lie in a dark room with a bowl beside me. That’s my way of saying I feel for you. I hope it’s passed by now.

  24. Domestic Chicky on January 21st, 2007 10:40 pm

The only thing worse than finding out you get migraines is finding out you get migraines from CHOCOLATE!! Seriously, what the???

I have found that really big, dark sunglasses, and a great lipstick covers a multitude of ailments…LOL

  25. Nancy on January 28th, 2007 10:31 pm

I think you could be more concise with- STAND BACK: MIGRAINE IN PROGRESS

And if you sell them, definitely sell them in packs of three and state your aforementioned reason - it’s a good one! Also, make them roomy in size, and in a color that won’t show stains.
