Wreath Watch Part II

Posted on April 11, 2007

Life has been hectic with Easter and my “little” brother’s upcoming nuptials.

So after this weekend? You bet your “booty-butt tormado” (Oy! Been spending far too much time with the boy lately) there will be photos. Filled with hot chicks. (Like my sis, my new sis-in-law and this chick.) I’m pretty sure they won’t be wild, wet, naked or pole dancing. But if that sitch arises, I’m SO taking photos! Because that would be blogging GOLD, people!

But anyway… If you don’t know why I’m posting this photo, read this and consider this your half-ass update. Because now there’s FIVE eggs in that nest. (Shudder) Can you imagine taking care of five babies at one time? There are not (at least for me) enough anti-anxiety drugs in the world…

    The eggs are adorable!

Easy for me to say, though since I won’t be swabbin’ yer decks when the poo hits. Bleh. ;-)

Dude, it totally looks like they are dyed for Easter!!

I am way more excited about these eggs than I should be, but I love The Miracle of Life. Last year one of the stray cats in our neighborhood had kittens behind our deck and I FLIPPED. I checked on them before work and after work, I just loved watching them grow up… and then the neighbors called Animal Control on them and they disappeared. Assholes.

So, um, keep the egg pictures coming!

Can’t wait to see the wedding pictures!

Loving Wreath Watch by the way- can’t wait for photo updates of this, too. Is it sad that I’m so interested in watching eggs hatch? Does that mean I need to get a life?

    (don’t answer that!)

Hey girl, just nominated you for a Blogger’s Choice Award. Go get your badge. I couldn’t decide between best parenting blog or hottest mommy blog so I nominated you for both.

omg what a perfect little nestola. I’m so jealous and DEFINITELY need to subscribe to the WebCam which I’m sure you’re rigging up RIGHT NOW. Please.

  21. Pendullum on April 13th, 2007 5:33 pm

Oh I hope you send updated shots of this wee nest…
But as for raising five… They are all grown up and ready to fly within weeks… I bet a bird could not imagine raising one of ours for twenty years…

  22. mothergoosemouse on April 13th, 2007 7:26 pm

Great picture! I look forward to more updates.

And if you need any help with those baby birds, I have an old post in my archives about a baby bird we found in our yard and how we inadvertently extinguished it while trying to help. Let it serve as a “what not to do” cautionary tale…

  23. Hulai on April 14th, 2007 4:09 am

oh holy crud! thats soo cool! Good luck to that mommy bird and her ever expanding lot of eggs!

  24. scribbit on April 14th, 2007 4:43 am

That’s just too cool–I had a friend who had triplets (on IVF) then a single baby, then twins. All on IVF and she wanted a big family with limited time so they went for broke and had six under the age of 5. I broke into a sweat whenever I saw her.

  25. Eau'Flynn on April 15th, 2007 5:03 am

my friend is having triplets next week, has a two year old already! I thought that was crazy until reading scribbit’s comment! mind you my friend and her hubby are very well off and have gotten 2 nannies…if only! :)
    have fun at the wedding!

  26. Sandra on April 15th, 2007 6:39 pm

I am just getting caught up now … wow. Yes you should totally webcam it.

And I could not imagine taking care of FIVE babies. Yowsa

  27. Pattie on April 15th, 2007 7:38 pm

Heheheh….better that bird mom than us, right? *LOL*

  28. Chris on April 17th, 2007 3:18 am

WOW! Five eggs! I’d be a bit more worried about the…ummm…droppings…of 5 baby birds!
