Haute Coulter?
“If we took away women’s right to vote, we’d never have to worry about another Democrat president. It’s kind of a pipe dream, it’s a personal fantasy of mine, but I don’t think it’s going to happen. And it is a good way of making the point that women are voting so stupidly, at least single women.”
“It also makes the point, it is kind of embarrassing, the Democratic Party ought to be hanging its head in shame, that it has so much difficulty getting men to vote for it. I mean, you do see it’s the party of women and ‘We’ll pay for health care and tuition and day care — and here, what else can we give you, soccer moms?’” — Ann Coulter.
Ann Coulter loves to share — especially when it comes to sharing her thoughts with the media (and when she’s got a new book to pimp). After mulling over her words for a few days, I think I know WHY Ann is the way she is. A few years ago, Ann went to the hospital to have a really big, disgusting mole removed from her head. But the surgeon misread the chart and took her brain out instead. That’s just my silly little opinion. I could be wrong.
Disclaimer: I don’t really claim to be devoted to one party or another. But if Ann truly wants to “help” make our country a better place, she needs to stop bashing people who don’t think like her and (at least try to) understand their perspectives and backgrounds. She needs to put her judgements aside and work toward creating actual solutions to problems — solutions that mix compassion with common sense.

BWAHAHAHAHA! They took her brain! I think you are right!
I am so sorry that you’ve been having a rough time. I’m here as a virtual friend if there’s anything at all you need.
By Tamberlyn, October 16, 2007 @ 7:49 pm
Hey girlie, I dropped you a little note. Call me if you need to grab some coffee or anything. I personally don’t have the energy to spend writing about Ann Coulter. She manages to offend just about everyone possible every time sje opens her mouth. If you can’t say something nice, don’t say anything at all.
By Dana, October 16, 2007 @ 9:00 pm
Ann’s acidity detracts from anything meaningful she may say. I don’t really like it, but it’s her shtick, she’s a flamer. You just have to know that pretty much everything she’s going to say will be uber polarizing.
Drop me a line. There’s something up next Friday you’d like.
By MammaLoves, October 16, 2007 @ 9:39 pm
Frankly, a party that approaches the world from the female perspective doesn’t sound that bad to me at all. There’d be a lot fewer wars, healthier children and proactive changes to make the world a better place.
Ann isn’t about changing the world. She’s about making money for herself. The irony of Ann is that she’d never be able to do it if she actually got the world she wanted.

You’ve been missed. I hope everything is alright.

I’m sorry things have been stressful and sad.
As for Anne… she’s an idiot.
By Alissa, October 16, 2007 @ 11:23 pm
((hugs)) to you and whatever you’re dealing with.
And, you’re totally right. They took her brain.

I’m really sorry you’re having a tough time right now. If you’d like to vent to someone who knows virtually nothing about you and who you will probably never ever meet, I’m around.
By Lori, October 17, 2007 @ 2:14 am
Hugs, honey.

Women whose words and actions support the stereotype that women are catty and biotchy don’t sit well with me. If a man said what she said, there’d be uproar. There should be equal uproar for a woman saying it. But because it’s Ann Coulter, we can just roll our eyes instead.
On the personal side of things, I’m here in spirit or in email world if you need to talk. You always have only my best wishes and support.

I hope things get better for you soon, Lisa. You do not deserve crazy stress.
Whenever I try to think about something to say about Ann Coulter, I am struck dumb, not so much by the fact that there is someone out there like Ann Coulter who would say such things, but more that there are enough people out there who WANT to listen to Ann Coulter that Ann Coulter actually makes money.

I’m so sorry that things have been rough. I hope you find some peace soon. And of course more time to blog

When you feel bad, try to avoid awful subjects…like Ann C.
Big hugs for whatever you need them for.

I’ve missed you’re smiling face!
Anne Coulter isn’t human. End of story.
By Farrell, October 17, 2007 @ 3:48 pm

I couldn’t give a single hoot for Ann Coulter, no matter what poison she’s spouting. She’s not worth the time.
I hope you’re feeling better, Missy. I’ve missed you. I hope things are going better for you now.

Sending cups of tea, laced with great cookies, a warn quilt, comfy thick socks, a few tears… and maybe even a few bottles of wine….
Thinking of you….
And wishing that we lived closer….
By chantel, October 17, 2007 @ 11:09 pm
I totally agree with you on this one. The less we buy in to the hate the better.
By Liz, October 18, 2007 @ 12:46 am
That woman scares me - on a lighter note - I am sorry to hear about the sad stuff. Hope it starts getting better, soon!
By becky, October 18, 2007 @ 3:38 pm
i consider myself conservative..republican and i think ann is a total dipshit
By Sarah, October 18, 2007 @ 10:37 pm
Wow, I must be the only fan of Ann Coulter left in this world. I don’t love her, but I certainly don’t have any problems with her either. I enjoy reading her columns, anyway.
But, then again, I cannot read her the same way that I read most political writers. I read Ann Coulter like I read Dave Barry or Bill Bryson or that guy who writes the articles at the end of the Sports Illustrated magazines. I can’t remember his name right now. It is very easy to be offended and shocked by the words Ann Coulter puts on paper, but I think you have to take it with a grain of salt - or an entire truckload of it. As far as I’m concerned, when you take her opinions and you water them down a little bit, she’s just another person with a mind of their own.
One time, I felt like Ann Coulter took things a little too far. I cannot remember the exact terms, but the gist was something about Christians being perfected Jews. As a Jew, I thought she crossed an invisible social line with that comment. Even so, I haven’t found much else about Ann Coulter to be offensive. Saying things for shock value, to draw attention to one’s opinion, is something I can understand. Is Ann Coulter abrasive? Belligerent? Yes. And is it unnecessary? Perhaps. But is it enough for me to hate her or to think her brain was sucked out by aliens?
Nah. I think I’ll keep reading her with a couple pinches of salt. You have to admit she has her funny moments.
All that aside, thank you so much for the comment on my website! I hope that everything here is running a little more smoothly soon and that the sad and stressful stuff clears up *Hugs*

She’s poison. Flush.
By Marriage-101, October 19, 2007 @ 9:54 pm
Oh that Ann. She really said that? Wow. It’s amazing how some people become famous. Speaking of pollitics, I just watched Farenheit 911 last night. Excellent movie! I’m so behind the times.
By Nap Warden, October 20, 2007 @ 12:57 am
Oh Ann Coulter…I just don’t have the energy, you are nuts.
As for you, I hope things start looking up…I’ve missed ya’!
By Kristi B., October 22, 2007 @ 12:06 am
No offense to Sarah, but to take offense when Ann says something against Jews, but not when she says something against women seems a little off. Ann is disgustingly abrasive and ridiculously smug. I can’t stand her. But because I agree that we shouldn’t continue the hate thing, I just don’t read her or listen to her. Maybe we should all do the same and then maybe she wouldn’t be getting all this press, yes? Her bigoted bs needs to stop.
And yes, I agree with MammaLoves, I’m all for a world run with “women’s views.” Less war, less children in poverty, a more protected environment, better schools, better pay for teachers, more children with access to health care, etc. All those stupid womanly concerns. Sigh.
By PunditMom, October 31, 2007 @ 6:03 pm
I’m with you on the whole Ann Coulter thing. I’m thinking of starting a new campaign — Just Say No — to Ann Coulter! If we stop paying attention, maybe she’ll crawl back into her lair!
